Communications Manager - Student Experience Position Summary

The Communications Manager - Student Experience will be responsible for designing and delivering a communications strategy and plan for the Student Experience (SX) Program. The role provides strategic communications advice to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Student Experience (DVCESE) and delivers SX related communication artefacts for the DVCESE, as requested.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Developing and implementing communications strategies to support the SX workstreams.
  • Designing and delivering an SX-wide program narrative, key messages, and a communications schedule of communications and engagement activities.
  • Tailoring communications to meet the needs of various stakeholders, including senior leaders, working groups, and steering committees members.
  • Providing executive-level strategic communications advice to the DVCESE.


Requirements:
  • A relevant tertiary degree with extensive experience or an equivalent level of knowledge in a relevant discipline.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work autonomously with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to navigate through competing deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including visual and digital communication.
  • Demonstrated experience in distilling complex information into straightforward messages for communication to diverse groups of stakeholders.
