Job Role Overview

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with individuals who have disabilities to help each client achieve their own goals, potential and participate in their community in a way that is meaningful for them.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver evidence-based assessments and therapy services to a diverse caseload – providing direct, family based and community-based support to individuals with developmental delays and/or disabilities,
  • Day-to-day activities will include assessment and intervention sessions with a mixed caseload in terms of both age and modality of intervention, working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary context to deliver quality, evidence-based outcomes,
  • Provide information, education and support to key stakeholders,
  • Ongoing evaluation, training and review to ensure the delivery of quality services to clients.
Key Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology and SPA Registration are essential,
  • Exceptional communication skills that enable you to work in a culturally rich and diverse environment and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team setting,
  • Effective time management and attention to detail,
  • A passion for making a difference with a focus on making therapy fun, engaging and meaningful for clients and families
  • Experience in working with children and adolescents and confidence in your role working closely with their families is highly valued.
