Speech Therapist Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate Speech Therapists to join our team in delivering therapy services to children and their families.

As a key member of our multidisciplinary Allied Health team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children. Our Graduate Program is designed to provide you with a smooth transition into your career as a Speech Therapist.

You will receive high levels of supervision and ongoing support, including a dedicated buddy and regular technical training to boost your clinical skills and confidence.

You will work closely with experienced clinicians and other professionals to deliver therapy services in clinics, client homes, schools, and via telehealth. This will give you the opportunity to develop your skills in assessment, treatment planning, and implementation.

In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will also be supported in your professional development through regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities, including monthly in-house training and daily team collaboration time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help children achieve their communication milestones, including communicating their wants and needs.
  • Educate and involve parents, carers, and others around the child to support communication and language development.
  • Support children to speak with clear and correct pronunciation and address literacy, reading, and writing difficulties.
  • Teach children the skills to manage food and drinks safely.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent qualification.
  • Eligibility for SPA registration.
  • A full valid driver's license.
  • Relevant certifications.
