Business Intelligence Specialist

Job Description

The role of a Business Intelligence Specialist is to gather and analyze data from various sources, providing insights to stakeholders to inform strategic decisions.

This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement reporting solutions, leveraging their expertise in clinical electronic information systems.

A key aspect of this position is interpreting business data, analyzing results using statistical techniques, and presenting findings to non-technical audiences.

The successful candidate will also contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives, aligning them with the organization's strategic direction.

Required Skills and Expertise
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the healthcare domain.
  • Strong knowledge of EHR/EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, NextGen, etc.).
  • Experience with healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, CDA, X12, etc.).
  • Understanding of HIPAA, HITECH, CMS, and other healthcare regulations.
  • Proficiency in business process modeling, workflow diagrams, and system analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
