We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Advisor to join our dynamic team. As an Environmental Sustainability Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the transition of our operations towards renewable energy sources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for environmental work programs and initiatives in relation to operational practices, with a focus on air quality, greenhouse, and carbon management.
- Drive and support the development and implementation of technical/process improvements with environmental benefits through strong engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with carbon and greenhouse gas emissions reporting.
- Undertake operational and system audits to evaluate compliance with environmental performance standards and recommend action and improvement opportunities.
- Counsel and provide advice to enable all necessary approvals to be achieved in line with requirements.
- BUILD POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH BOTH EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS TO NEGOTIATE THE BEST BUSINESS OUTCOMES.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualification in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering or similar.
- 3-5 years experience in a similar position, providing advice to the energy, industrial processing, mining, construction, mining, or public sectors.
- Environmental audit skills and experience with ISO 14001 desirable.
- Demonstrated data management and report writing skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and complete assignments within allocated time frames.
- A willingness to learn and develop new and existing systems.
- Well-developed communication, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work well within a team environment and relate to all levels of the workforce.
