Job Title: Nurse in Medical Imaging

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate nurse to join our medical imaging team. As a Radiology Nurse, you will play a pivotal part in providing top-tier patient care and supporting a variety of diagnostic and interventional services.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist radiologists with procedures such as deep organ biopsies, lumbar punctures, PICC insertions, drainages, and pain management injections.
  • Provide expert care and guidance for patients before, during, and after procedures, including medication management.
  • Work alongside medical imaging staff to streamline workflow and elevate the patient experience.
  • Engage with hospital departments and allied health professionals.
  • Manage IV cannulation, PICC/Port device access, and more.
  • Coordinate complex patient bookings and liaise with referrers for interventional procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in nursing, ideally in an acute or theatre/recovery setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a knack for managing time effectively and working within a team.
  • A willingness to adapt to the dynamic needs of a fast-paced environment.
  • Cannulation skills are highly regarded, as is prior radiology experience, though full training will be provided to the right candidate.
  • Exceptional communication skills – you'll need to work closely with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
