The role:

As the role of the Radiology Nurse evolves alongside advances in minimally invasive procedures, we're expanding our team to keep pace with growth. You'll play a pivotal part in providing top-tier patient care and supporting a variety of diagnostic and interventional services.

Location: Primarily based at Modbury Hospital, with some travel required to Salisbury, North Adelaide, and North Eastern Community locations.

Responsibilities Include:

- Assisting Radiologists with procedures like deep organ biopsies, lumbar punctures, PICC insertions, drainages, and pain management injections.
- Offering expert care and guidance for patients before, during, and after procedures, including medication management.
- Working alongside medical imaging staff to streamline workflow and elevate the patient experience.
- Engaging with hospital departments and allied health professionals.
- Managing IV cannulation, PICC/Port device access, and more.
- Coordinating complex patient bookings and liaising with referrers for interventional procedures.

What We're Looking For:

- Experience in nursing, ideally in an acute or theatre/recovery setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a knack for managing time effectively and working within a team.
- A willingness to adapt to the dynamic needs of a fast-paced environment.
- Cannulation skills are highly regarded, as is prior radiology experience, though full training will be provided to the right candidate.
- Exceptional communication skills – you'll need to work closely with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
