Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic Radiology department, providing top-tier patient care and supporting diagnostic services. As a skilled Radiology Nurse, you will play a vital role in assisting with procedures such as deep organ biopsies, lumbar punctures, PICC insertions, drainages, and pain management injections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with radiologists to ensure seamless procedure execution.
  • Provide expert care and guidance for patients before, during, and after procedures, including medication management.
  • Work closely with medical imaging staff to optimize workflow and elevate the patient experience.
  • Engage with hospital departments and allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Manage IV cannulation, PICC/Port device access, and other related tasks with precision.
  • Coordinate complex patient bookings and liaise with referrers for interventional procedures.

Requirements:

  • Experience in nursing, preferably in an acute or theatre/recovery setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a knack for managing time effectively and working within a team.
  • A willingness to adapt to the dynamic needs of a fast-paced environment.
  • Cannulation skills are highly regarded, as is prior radiology experience, though full training will be provided to the right candidate.
  • Exceptional communication skills – you will need to work closely with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
