Job Opportunity: Radiology Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Radiology Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Northern Suburbs. As a key member of our medical imaging staff, you will play a vital role in providing top-tier patient care and supporting various diagnostic and interventional services.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled nurse to work in a fast-paced environment with a growing team. You will assist radiologists with procedures, offer expert care and guidance to patients, and work closely with medical imaging staff to streamline workflow and elevate the patient experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting radiologists with procedures such as deep organ biopsies, lumbar punctures, PICC insertions, drainages, and pain management injections
  • Providing expert care and guidance for patients before, during, and after procedures, including medication management
  • Working alongside medical imaging staff to streamline workflow and elevate the patient experience
  • Engaging with hospital departments and allied health professionals
  • Managing IV cannulation, PICC/Port device access, and more
  • Coordinating complex patient bookings and liaising with referrers for interventional procedures

Requirements:

  • Experience in nursing, ideally in an acute or theatre/recovery setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a knack for managing time effectively and working within a team
  • A willingness to adapt to the dynamic needs of a fast-paced environment
  • Cannulation skills are highly regarded, as is prior radiology experience, though full training will be provided to the right candidate
  • Exceptional communication skills – you'll need to work closely with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals
