Job Overview

We are seeking a Middleware MQ Administrator to join our team. As a Middleware MQ Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and administration of IBM WebSphere MQ and related MQ objects.

Main Responsibilities
  • MQ Administration: Installation, configuration, maintenance, and administration of IBM WebSphere MQ.
  • IIB Expertise: Expertise in IBM IIB administration and clustered MQ setups.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose MQ connectivity issues and implement security in MQ.
  • Security Requirements: Ensure MQ solutions meet the latest MQ security requirements.
  • Problem Determination: Problem determination and troubleshooting on MQ and IIB using various tools.
  • ITIL Processes: Implementation of Incident, Change, and Problem management processes per ITIL.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with MQ L3 resources and solution architects to strategize MQ solutions.
  • Technical Change Lifecycle: Manage the technical change lifecycle for MQ and provide inputs to support teams to troubleshoot production incidents.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • MQ Experience: Proven experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and administering IBM WebSphere MQ.
  • IIB Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of IBM IIB administration and clustered MQ setups.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose complex MQ connectivity issues.
  • Security Awareness: Understanding of the latest MQ security requirements and ability to ensure compliance.
