Responsibilities
  • Expertise in Installation, configuration, maintenance, and administration of IBM WebSphere MQ, including creating and configuring MQ objects (Queue Managers, Remote Queues, Local Queues, Queue Aliases).
  • Expertise in IBM IIB administration.
  • Experience with clustered MQ setups; implement security in MQ; diagnose MQ connectivity issues; MQ authentication/authorization.
  • Ensure MQ solutions meet the latest MQ security requirements.
  • Problem determination and troubleshooting on MQ and IIB using MQ Error Files, FDC files, syslog, traces, and monitoring tools.
  • Proficient in IBM MQ AMS and IBM MQIPT.
  • Implementation of Incident, Change, and Problem management processes per ITIL.
  • Collaborate with MQ L3 resources, solution architects and engineers to strategize MQ solutions.
  • Apply Scrum framework with Agile methodology; manage the technical change lifecycle for MQ (Detailed Design, Build & Configure, Testing, Implementation, Handover, Warranty Support, and Decommission).
  • Provide inputs to support teams to troubleshoot production incidents; coordinate with Application Teams to assist MQ setup.
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Chef, and Bitbucket.
