Commercial Associate Job Description

Careerlink People Solutions is partnering with WRP Legal and Advisory to appoint an Associate in their Commercial team. This role offers a diverse and challenging experience, working across various industries, including energy, agriculture, healthcare, manufacturing, and professional services.

As a Commercial Associate, you will provide legal guidance to clients on large transactions, business contracts, and agreements. You will work closely with a skilled team to deliver exceptional results and contribute to the growth of the firm.

The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients. They will also have a comprehensive understanding of contract law, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, including sales, purchase, supply, and project agreements
  • Conducting legal research and analysis to provide guidance to clients on various legal matters
  • Assisting in negotiating and structuring complex commercial transactions
  • Providing legal advice on corporate governance and compliance
  • Preparing legal opinions and memoranda on legal issues affecting commercial clients
  • Ensuring that clients receive high-quality legal services
Requirements
  • 4+ years of post-admission experience
  • Completion of tertiary education and admission to practice in an Australian jurisdiction
  • Comprehensive legal and commercial knowledge, including contract law, corporate law, and regulatory compliance
  • Analytical skills to provide practical solutions for complex legal issues
  • Client-focused with the ability to build and maintain relationships and provide high-quality legal services
