Energy Regulatory and Commercial Associate

Are you an experienced energy regulatory, energy projects, or corporate and commercial energy law professional looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate to join our energy practice at Norton Rose Fulbright.
We are a global law firm with a Tier 1 energy practice and a strong global network of skilled traditional and renewable energy legal advisors. Our team provides leading strategic advice on the rapid and disruptive transformation of the energy sector, and we have led a large number of successful and innovative 'country first' and 'technological first' transactions.
As an Associate in our energy practice, you will work with industry-leading partners to support our clients across the entire energy value chain, including:
- Energy markets and renewable energy regulatory advice and associated projects
- Commercial contracting, such as connection agreements, supply agreements, power purchase agreements, and novel contract structures for emerging businesses and project structures
- Energy-focused transactions
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3+ years' PQE with predominant energy-market exposure and demonstrable experience in the National Electricity Market, gained either in-house or at a leading firm
- A passion for renewables and supporting organisations through the energy transition
- A desire to work on complex matters
- Strong commerciality, curiosity, and an enthusiastic and proactive attitude
- Outstanding attention to detail, analytical, and drafting skills
- Excellent communication skills, including client liaison
