Job Summary:

AFL Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Law Associate to join our team. As a Commercial Law Associate, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Commercial Law team, assisting with preparing legal documents, conducting research, and liaising with clients and Courts.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting a team of experienced commercial lawyers and litigators. You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the preparation of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and court filings;
  • Conducting research and providing information to support the work of the Commercial Law team;
  • Liaising with clients and Courts to ensure timely and effective communication;
  • Providing administrative support, including data entry, filing, and general administration;
  • Assisting with the coordination of meetings and appointments;
  • Providing support for commercial transactions and litigation cases, including preparing briefs for barristers and conducting research.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 12 months experience in commercial litigation and/or commercial/business legal transactions as a paralegal/legal assistant/secretary/law clerk;
  • Excellent communication and client-service skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
