Job Title:

Design Authority for Mechanical Assets

This role will drive the delivery of mechanical design solutions that meet operational, maintenance, construction, and commissioning requirements.

  • Review engineering designs to ensure they are effective, efficient, and integrated into broader project portfolios and assets.
  • Collaborate with peers from other engineering disciplines, project managers, and leaders to provide technical input to engineering project framing documents.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislations, engineering standards, and asset engineering standards in project scopes.
  • Optimise asset standards with asset engineering teams as required.
  • Identify and implement cost efficiencies into designs.
  • Integrate internal lessons learned and external best practices across projects.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant experience with major projects, EPCM project delivery, and site operations.
  • Extensive experience in mechanical engineering design and ability to work autonomously for project owners' teams.
  • Strong experience with design of process plants.
  • Ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders, consultants, and contractors.
  • Good technical and communication skills, including analysis of data and production of concise reports and presentations.
  • Solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
