Job Title:

Senior Mechanical Design Lead

About the Role:

This full-time position is responsible for leading and managing a team of engineers and designers within a mechanical design office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the design and development of mechanical systems, including actuator arms, gearboxes, and aircraft structural assemblies.
  • Ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with electronics, avionics, and composite structures.
  • Drive design reviews, design documentation, and continuous improvement practices across the team.
  • Maintain a hands-on presence when needed to support prototyping, fault-finding, and system testing.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, manufacturing, and leadership teams to align technical outcomes with broader project goals.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in mechanical design for complex systems, such as UAVs, aircraft, robotics, or automotive platforms.
  • Demonstrated leadership or team management experience in an engineering environment.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD tools for 3D modeling and mechanical systems design.
  • Practical knowledge of prototyping, fabrication, and testing of mechanical systems.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
