Job Description:

The City of Ryde is seeking a Senior Strategic Planner to join their team. The role involves communicating and promoting relevant planning policies within a high-performing and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess major development, planning proposals, and State Significant Development proposals.
  • Contribute to and update planning and design policy.
  • Review and update the Council's planning framework.
  • Prepare reports, provide expert advice, and coordinate input from specialist consultants.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Urban/Town Planning or a related field.
  • Experience in preparing and negotiating planning agreements.
  • Experience in Town Planning, specifically preparing and assessing planning proposals.
  • Experience in preparing development control plans.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
