Position Overview

We are in search of a seasoned and driven Managing Partner to lead our Accounting and Tax division. The successful candidate will oversee client engagements, mentor both onshore and offshore teams, and play a pivotal role in the firm’s growth and success. This position demands extensive expertise in accounting and taxation, exceptional leadership capabilities, a strong business development focus, and innovative thinking to enhance operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:


• Oversee and manage multiple client engagements, ensuring top-tier service quality with a target of 90%+ on-time ATO lodgements.


• Cultivate and maintain robust client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.


• Mentor and guide junior onshore and offshore staff, supporting their professional development.


• Drive business development initiatives, identifying and pursuing new opportunities leveraging existing networks within the Ziku financial and lending sectors.


• In the initial year, lead the planning and execution of an efficiency program aimed at aligning the business with industry standards for debtor collection, enhancing subscription revenue, and transitioning the majority of individual tax returns to the Ziku Global offshore team.


• Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards.


• Collaborate with shareholders and senior leaders in the Ziku Advice and Lending sectors to formulate and implement strategic initiatives for the overall growth of Ziku Capital.


• Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability in line with predetermined KPIs.


• Represent the firm at industry events and conferences, enhancing visibility and reputation.

Preferred Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.


• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation is mandatory.


• At least 3 years of experience in public or private practice accounting, focusing on personal and small to medium business taxation for sole traders, companies, and trusts.


• Proven success in client management and business development with small to medium-sized clients across various sectors.


• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a history of managing junior and senior staff.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a commitment to transparent communication with stakeholders.


• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.


• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


• Previous experience as a Senior Manager/Accountant in a mid-tier or Big Four accounting firm is highly regarded.


• Proficiency in accounting software and technology, particularly Xero and Xero Practice Manager.
