The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive support services. This includes:

  • Identifying needs through assessment and person-centred planning.
  • Evaluating, developing, and delivering evidence-based support plans.
  • Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies within the positive behaviour support framework.
Responsibilities

Our Behaviour Support Practitioners are responsible for ensuring individual plans reflect participants' goals, passions, and strengths. They build knowledge, capacity, and strengths of those who support participants in their lives, including family, carers, friends, etc.

Working collaboratively, our Behaviour Support Practitioners develop and maintain professional relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders. They contribute to ongoing training and professional development opportunities, tailoring their learning to interests and long-term goals.

Requirements

Applicants must have a genuine passion for working in the disability sector and be committed to providing high-quality support. A degree-level qualification as an allied health professional is desirable, along with excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload.

A proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas, is essential for success in this role. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork, with a focus on delivering outstanding supports to participants.
