The successful candidate will have the chance to gain hands-on experience in a state-of-the-art laboratory environment, learning cutting-edge genomic and multi-omic sequencing techniques.
- Develop expertise in genomics and its application to Indigenous health research.
- Contribute to closing the gap in genomic healthcare.
A bespoke work schedule, including remote work, can be tailored to meet the needs of the successful candidate.
Eligibility Criteria- Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
- Be a postgraduate clinician, health professional, early-mid career researcher, or PhD student who has completed their confirmation of candidature.
- Have a background in biology, genetics, biotechnology, health and medical sciences, or another relevant discipline.
- Have exposure to a laboratory environment.
Selected candidates will undergo a competitive evaluation process to determine their suitability for the Fellowship.
The duration of the Fellowship is flexible, ranging from three to twenty-four months, depending on the career stage of the successful candidate.
