Corporate Events Manager Job Description:

This position requires a highly skilled professional to manage the planning, coordination, and execution of high-profile events.

The successful candidate will have experience in event management, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional results under pressure.

  • Lead the end-to-end coordination of corporate events, including graduations, open days, and official university ceremonies.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure events are delivered professionally, observing required protocols and enhancing our reputation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior executives, government representatives, suppliers, and support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement event plans, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to institutional protocols.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, communicating effectively and responding to their needs.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines while maintaining a focus on quality and safety.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, or event management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in event management, including planning, logistics, stakeholder engagement, budgeting, and evaluation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently and sensitively with diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of appropriate cultural protocols and professional etiquette in event delivery.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and contribute proactively to team initiatives.
