Accountant Role

We are seeking an Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will support financial and accounting needs, contribute to business plans, and assist with month-end deliverables.

Your Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Fulfill financial and accounting requirements of reinsurance contracts and deliver timely results to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee administration of premiums and calculation of premium adjustments.
  • Contribute to the team's business plan to enhance productivity and performance.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting for reinsurance contracts, ensuring accuracy and insight.
  • Evaluate and document processes to ensure alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain strong relationships with finance and wider stakeholders, facilitating efficient collaboration.
  • Prepare and review journals, payments, audit outputs, and support ad-hoc projects as needed.

About You

You are a detail-oriented individual with a solid foundation in accounting and finance within the insurance or reinsurance space.

  • Familiarity with analytical tools such as PowerBI and/or Alteryx.
  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet software and data reconciliation.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • CA/CPA qualified preferred but not essential, preferably with experience in reinsurance or general insurance.
