Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Specialist to join our workshop and fleet team.

This role offers on-the-job and off-the-job training, allowing the selected candidate to develop practical skills in mechanical activities and contribute to servicing and repairing vehicles and mechanical equipment.

Throughout the apprenticeship, you will complete a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology course at TAFE.

Upon completion, you will have formal qualifications with four years of practical experience and may gain additional tickets such as Medium Rigid (MR) truck licence, forklift ticket, loader competency and more.

You will be part of the Cadet, Apprentice and Trainee (CAT) Program, receiving ongoing training, guidance and support from workplace mentors while completing a nationally recognised qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in practical mechanical activities
  • Contribute to the objectives of the Works and Service Business Unit

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess relevant skills and qualifications. These include:

Qualifications: Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology

Skills: Practical skills in mechanical activities, ability to work independently and as part of a team
