**Diesel Motor Technician Role**

We are seeking an experienced and skilled diesel motor technician to conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing of heavy vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, and suspension.
  • Conduct scheduled servicing and mechanical inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and performance standards.
  • Install and maintain water truck components, including PTOs, hydraulic pumps, spray bars, tanks, and associated pipework.
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic hydraulic and electrical faults related to vehicle performance.
  • Prepare and complete job cards, maintenance reports, and parts usage logs with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Respond to breakdowns and perform field service support, ensuring timely fault resolution.
  • Participate in preventative maintenance programs to minimize vehicle downtime.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment following WHS procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:**

  • Relevant trade qualification and at least 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Motivated and responsible, able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong teamwork skills: ability to work well with others is crucial.
