Position: Bistro and Functions Manager
Location: Keilor | Sports Club
Employment Type: Part-Time
Are you enthusiastic about fostering community connections and excelling in a lively, hands-on setting? This dynamic Soccer Club, a cherished non-profit entity in the North Western Suburbs, is on the lookout for a committed and vibrant Part-Time Functions and Bistro Manager. This unique dual-role opportunity allows you to play a significant part in both Bistro operations and the orchestration of various functions and events.
Working Hours: 22-38 hours per week; availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Bistro Operations:
- Manage daily Bistro activities, including staff oversight, training, and mentorship.
- Engage directly in Bistro functions, ensuring efficient and seamless service delivery.
- Handle staff scheduling, inventory management, and operational systems (including Blue Eye).
- Deliver exceptional customer service while fostering a welcoming and engaging environment.
Functions Coordination:
- Oversee all elements of functions and events, from initial setup to final cleanup.
- Communicate with clients to ascertain their requirements and ensure smooth event execution.
- Identify and cultivate new opportunities for functions and event space utilization.
- Organize events accommodating up to 180 guests, managing all logistical needs.
- Engage with the community to promote the Soccer Club's event offerings.
Qualifications:
- Prior management experience is essential.
- Experience in Bistro operations is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work actively in a bustling environment.
- Demonstrated capability to lead and train a team effectively.
- Familiarity with rostering and operational systems, including Blue Eye.
- RSA and Food Safety Handling certifications are mandatory.
- Barista experience is advantageous but not required.
