Job Title: Spiritual Formation Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate individual to coordinate ministry discernment and formation processes, providing sound counsel and resources to participants.

  • Coordinate Ministry Discernment and Formation processes, including post-ordination training programs, as approved by the Archbishop.
  • Support and resource participants throughout the various stages of discernment and formation, providing guidance and pastoral care.
  • Provide resources for the discernment process, arrange regular meetings, assessments, and connections.
  • Coordinate the annual Ministry Discernment Event.
  • Liaise with and resource Examining Chaplains and supervising/mentoring clergy.
  • Ensure the currency of administration.
  • Liaise with the national network of Coordinators of Formation.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ministry Discernment and Formation: Coordinate and facilitate the discernment and formation process, providing sound counsel and resources to participants.
  2. Support and Resource Participants: Support and resource participants throughout the various stages of discernment and formation, providing guidance and pastoral care.
  3. Resource Provision: Provide resources for the discernment process, arrange regular meetings, assessments, and connections.
  4. Event Coordination: Coordinate the annual Ministry Discernment Event.
  5. Liaison and Collaboration: Liaise with and resource Examining Chaplains and supervising/mentoring clergy.
  6. Administrative Tasks: Ensure the currency of administration.
  7. National Network Liaison: Liaise with the national network of Coordinators of Formation.
Requirements:
  • At least ten years in Anglican holy orders.
  • Eligible to be licensed in the Diocese of Adelaide
  • In-depth understanding of ordained ministry requirements in the Diocese of Adelaide and the wider Anglican Church of Australia.
  • Significant parish ministry experience and ability to relate to the breadth of the Anglican Church.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary approaches to ministry.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Clear commitment to the mission of God in the church and growth of that mission.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills.
  • Capacity to think and plan strategically, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Capacity to practice integrity and discretion.
  • Capacity to work under pressure.
  • Understanding of and maintenance of boundaries with participants.
