Schools Maintenance Officer

Job Overview:
The Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities plays a pivotal role in maintaining the school environment, ensuring it remains safe, clean, and well-maintained. This position is responsible for various day-to-day activities, including delivering and collecting mail, recording and delivering messages, printing and photocopying, preparing classrooms for examinations, and supporting security duties at the school.
For this role, we seek an individual with a great attitude and strong work ethic, who can thrive in a professional position as per the Role Description. Eligibility for progression to the next classification will be based on meeting or demonstrating specific criteria.
- Maintenance of School Environment:
- Delivering and collecting mail, parcels, and documents;
- Recording and delivering of messages;
- Printing and photocopying;
- Preparing classrooms for examinations;
- Supporting security duties at the school;
The Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities will also assist with additional tasks, including clearing and hosing drains and gutters, collection of waste, food, and paper on school grounds, immediate action cleaning duties, and coordinating the removal and disposal of rubbish as required.
The successful applicant will ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, manage equipment records, and maintain tools and equipment for repair services.
