About the Role

This is a full-time position that reports to the Operations Manager.

The successful candidate will work alongside the Advocacy and Influencing Manager to promote our advocacy goals and facilitate the engagement of children and young people to hear their voices.

The role involves oversight of the effective delivery of programs and activities to children and young people with a care experience, providing meaningful feedback during program reviews, and collecting evaluations from children and young people about the programs and activities they have attended.

The State Coordinator will take responsibility for running program events/activities in accordance with Action Plan goals, ensuring that programmatic activities are conducted in accordance with training manual specifications.

The role also involves managing and supervising direct reports, connecting and communicating effectively with children and young people via face-to-face interactions, and maintaining accurate records of contact and communication with children and young people.

Additionally, the successful candidate will actively engage the Out-of-Home Care (OOHC) sector to promote membership of clubCREATE and update children and young people's contact details.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Management:
    • Develop and maintain culturally sensitive and appropriate relationships with children and young people.
    • Communicate effectively with children and young people to ensure they are connected to us, informed, and supported to have a voice.
  • Management:
    • Manage and mitigate risk for programmatic activities and workplace health and safety in the office.
    • Participate actively and effectively in the quality assurance process.
    • Supervise direct reports and provide effective guidance to support the team to reach organisational goals and adhere to organisational policy while maintaining a positive morale.
  • Data and Reporting:
    • Take responsibility for collecting and recording accurate data, facilitating young people's engagement with completing evaluations, and collecting evaluations.
    • Maintain program information on the database up to date.
  • Program(s) Delivery:
    • Oversight program delivery, promote and deliver programs and activities according to the specifications in training manuals as required.
