Senior Lawyer - Group Insurance

A career-defining opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Senior Lawyer to spearhead our group insurance legal affairs in North Sydney.

As a trusted advisor, you will provide expert legal counsel to support our group insurance business and mitigate complex risks.

You will collaborate closely with our Head of Legal - Insurance to deliver high-quality, strategic advice and identify opportunities for process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist legal advice to support our group insurance operations
  • Manage and mitigate complex legal, regulatory, and reputational risks
  • Draft and negotiate commercial contracts to drive business growth
  • Offer guidance on financial services law, superannuation law, commercial law, corporate law, disputes resolution, regulatory compliance, and data protection
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Law degree and current Practising Certificate to practice law in New South Wales
  • Minimum 8 years' post-qualification experience in life insurance, with specific expertise in group insurance or superannuation
  • Deep knowledge of the Australian financial services industry
