Senior Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team at John Holland. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing on-site engineering functions, obtaining design parameter information, and directing exposure to interfacing with clients and managing projects from planning through to commissioning and handover.
Key Responsibilities- Manage on-site engineering functions through subordinates, including Project Engineers and Cost/Planning Engineers.
- Obtain relevant design parameter information for incorporation into detailed designs and construction specifications.
- Direct exposure to interfacing with clients and managing projects from planning through to commissioning and handover.
- Monitor quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material, check work drawings, construction, and specifications against site plans and conditions, and arrange corrections or modifications where necessary.
- Coordinate the activities of an engineering team, program workloads, and provide technical and administrative guidance to the engineering staff to ensure aims and objectives are effectively and economically achieved.
- Ensure that project engineering completion is on time and within budget, record completed work, costs incurred, materials used, and retain progress drawings.
- Accurate forecasts of costs and revenue and utilize corrective action in line with the JV's authority and reporting frameworks to maximize the profit margin.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
- Previous experience working on infrastructure projects over $100m.
- Project delivery and tender experience.
- Ability to take ownership in a lead role.
- Ability to work well with various stakeholders and build strong relationships.
- Interest in competitive tendering of works and supporting the program development manager.
