Project Director, Merger Delivery Specialist

The OpportunityWe are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager/Project Director to lead the merger of two significant healthcare organizations. As the Project Director, you will oversee the seamless integration of our organizations, driving the project from initial planning through transition and post-merger integration.
In this role, you will champion the merger, ensuring robust project management, stakeholder engagement, and change management practices towards a timely, successful integration. You will report directly to the CEO of ClearCompany, the employing agency, whilst also collaborating closely with the CEO of the merging organization, with flexibility to work across both organizations essential.
Key Responsibilities- Champion the merger across our organizations, communicating the vision and promoting and celebrating milestones when they are reached.
- Lead the development and implementation of the merger project plan, including managing the dedicated merger team and coordinating support from both organizations.
- Establish effective project governance structures to oversee the merger.
- Lead the design and implementation of engagement strategies for external stakeholders including clients, community, partners, and funders.
- Lead the development and implementation of change management, communications, engagement, and development activities that support effective change.
- Monitor and report on progress against the project plan, including timely escalation of issues, risks, opportunities, and benefits to the Steering Committee.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, communications, or management; or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years' experience in a senior leadership role within a complex, regulated operating environment (preferably healthcare or social services).
- 5+ years of experience leading projects, involving significant project, change, and transformation management, minimizing risks and disruption.
- Outstanding leadership qualities with proven success in stakeholder management and the ability to navigate complex environments.
- Experience of leading/supporting a merger within the for-purpose sector.
- Qualifications in project management or change management.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, with a track-record of building and influencing a values-driven culture.
- Expertise in applying best-practice project management and change management frameworks to deliver complex projects.
- Exceptional communication, influence, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to take systems thinking approach.
- Experience in delivering continuous improvement and efficiency in processes and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to work sensitively and collaboratively in a complex internal and external stakeholder environment.
- Contemporary familiarity with Government and for-purpose sector.
- Technically astute, with experience in the application and promotion of MS Office365 tools.
- Knowledge of platforms and systems used in the healthcare sector is desirable but not essential.
