Job Overview:

The company is partnering with a leading Tier 2 Civil Contractor who deliver multidisciplinary Civil Engineering projects.

They have a reputation for winning and delivering projects based on constructability solutions, giving their staff a balanced working culture and security of work.

The role will focus on sub-contract management, contract management, and commercial management on an $80 million road infrastructure project located 2 hours West of Brisbane.

You will assess claims, negotiate variations, report forecasts, assess tenders, prepare cost plans, and assist with estimating and auditing.

As a strategic part of the senior leadership team, you will be involved after transitioning back to head office in Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage contractual deliverables
  • Oversee sub-contractors and contractors
  • Negotiate variations and manage claims
  • Prepare cost plans and assist with estimating
Requirements:
  • Bachelor in Civil Engineering or Equivalent
  • Previous experience working on road construction projects, rail, and civil projects
  • Tertiary qualification within Engineering, Law, Commercial, or Business, coupled with at least 10 years' experience in Commercial/Contract Management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organisation
  • Sound knowledge of contractual requirements
