Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing and grooming.
  • Provide transportation assistance to clients.
  • Offer respite care to clients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of clients by following health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with latest developments and best practices in the disability field.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum of high school or equivalent qualification.
  • Certificate 2 or 3/4 in individual support or willingness to work towards completion (highly regarded).
  • Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disability.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers and weekends.
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Basic care and first aid skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
