Support Services Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Support Services Specialist.

Job Description

As a Support Services Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans. You will assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.

You will also provide transportation assistance to clients, respite care to clients and their families, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress.

In addition, you will communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team, and follow health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of high school or equivalent education
  • Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willingness to work towards completion (highly regarded)
  • Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disability
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Ability to work with a diverse client base, understanding the different support needs of clients based on their abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements
  • Basic care and first aid skills
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
