Strategic Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Engagement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Urban Planning team, you will play a critical role in driving the growth of our Engagement and Stakeholder Strategy offering.

Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement tailored engagement strategies that build understanding, create local ownership, and inform sustainable decision making. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and use your expertise to design and deliver effective communication plans that meet their objectives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engagement strategies that align with client objectives
  • Design and deliver effective communication plans that engage stakeholders and promote sustainable decision making
  • Provide specialist advice on strategic engagement, stakeholder management, and community consultation
  • Collaborate with directors and staff to manage multiple projects and produce high-quality results

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of NSW planning system and commercial acumen
  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Policy, Business, or related discipline
  • Relevant experience gained in consultancy environment, ideally with proven ability to manage multiple projects and produce high-quality results
  • Demonstrated advanced written and verbal communication skills, including producing well-written reports and presenting to internal and external clients
