Role Overview

A Land Use Transport Planner is required to work in a Travel Demand Management team, coordinating and preparing land use and transport planning advice for local authorities and developers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure land use development does not compromise network safety or efficiency objectives and identify appropriate measures to resolve potential conflicts.
  • Collaborate and negotiate with government agencies, council officers, and public and private organisations.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in a similar planning advisory role, e.g., town planner within a local council or government agency.
  • Prior experience in government planning legislation, urban planning, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of relevant NSW Government planning legislation and the Roads Act 1993, with the ability to understand and apply.
  • Demonstrated experience in integrated public transport and urban planning, as well as traffic impact assessment.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in town planning, land use planning/assessment, transport planning, engineering, environmental science, or another appropriate discipline.
