A Quality Assurance Professional Opportunity

About the Role Our organization is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven individual to fill a Quality Assurance Officer position. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a quality management system that ensures the delivery of high-quality food products.

This position is ideal for an individual looking to start or progress their career in the QA field, with opportunities for growth and development within our organization.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Driving the implementation of Food Safety Culture plans by reporting Food Safety/Quality incidents or potential hazards.
  • Driving GMP standards by conducting GMP walks and working with production to address gaps.
  • Verification activities of the Quality Management System & Food Safety Plan.
  • Change management control, communicating changes to production and verifying implementation of change.
  • Working closely with production to manage the control of rework and non-conforming product.
  • Supporting the implementation of new product launches.
  • Encouraging the importance of quality assurance throughout the organisation through high visibility of the QA team and ensuring QA involvement in processes.

About You To be successful in this role, you will require:
  • Experience from the meat industry would be advantageous, but is not essential.
  • Tertiary qualifications in food science or related discipline.
  • A self-driven individual with a passion for Quality/Food Safety.
  • Bizerba knowledge advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
