- Job Summary: We require a dedicated and skilled Chef Manager to oversee all aspects of food preparation and service in our residential facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Catering Team: Motivate and inspire a team of chefs and kitchen staff to deliver high-quality meals, considering residents' tastes, preferences, and dietary needs.
- Menu Planning: Develop seasonal menus that cater to diverse resident requirements while adhering to nutritional standards.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations, Aged Care Quality Standards, and internal policies.
- Budget Management: Efficiently manage resources, ordering, and rostering to maintain cost-effectiveness.
- Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with residents, their families, and the care team through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven Experience: Minimum 3 years as a Chef Manager or similar leadership role within aged care or hospitality industries.
- Passion for Food: Demonstrated enthusiasm for food quality, presentation, and its impact on residents' well-being.
- Catering Expertise: Strong understanding of aged care catering requirements, including IDDSI and specialized diets.
- Aged Care Knowledge: Familiarity with Aged Care Quality Standards and commitment to compliance.
