Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Helicopter Aviation Instructor to join our team in Nowra, Australia. This is a unique opportunity to work with the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) and contribute to the development of advanced aviation training programs.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction and guidance to trainees on the operation and maintenance of the MH-60R helicopter. This includes developing and delivering training curricula, evaluating student performance, and maintaining equipment and facilities.

About This Role

This position requires a minimum of 500 command hours on multi-engine, multi-crew helicopters or equivalent experience. The ideal candidate will have strong instructional skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for teaching and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training curricula for MH-60R helicopter operators
  • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback for improvement
  • Maintain and upgrade equipment and facilities to ensure high-quality training experiences
  • Collaborate with instructors and subject matter experts to develop and refine training programs
Requirements
  • Minimum 500 command hours on multi-engine, multi-crew helicopters or equivalent experience
  • Strong instructional skills and excellent communication abilities
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Possess a valid US DoD Personal Security Clearance
