Terminal Programmer Job Description

We are seeking a talented Technical Specialist to support our Land Mobile Radio systems. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical and operational support for P25 subscriber radio configuration.

About the Role
  • Support customer technical requirements with a team of radio configuration specialists
  • Develop and manage codeplugs, update documentation
  • Review and summarize new software and firmware releases for customers
  • Conduct regression testing for firmware updates
  • Provide technical support to stakeholders
  • Engage in stakeholder meetings to discuss configuration impacts
  • Manage a standardized process for codeplug development and testing
  • Handle customer issues related to subscriber radio configuration
  • Manage deployment of codeplug updates post-approval
  • Maintain software tools and servers to support the latest versions
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electronics, Computer Systems Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
  • Highly desirable: Experience with Land Mobile Radio systems, especially Motorola ASTRO P25

Additional skills include interfacing with clients and vendors, software/firmware testing, codeplug management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Desirable skills include in-depth knowledge of Motorola radio systems and experience in operations environments.
