About the Role

Glencore is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to oversee the overall compliance of our desktop environment in Mount Isa, Queensland.

Job Description
  • Lead and mentor a small team of IT professionals
  • Provide on-site support to Mount Isa sites, resolving complex technical issues for IT hardware and software
  • Configure, install, test, monitor and maintain IT hardware and software
  • Identify opportunities for improvement to IT support processes, tools & services
Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the overall compliance of the desktop environment
  • Leading and mentoring a small team of IT professionals
  • Providing on-site support to Mount Isa sites
  • Configuring, installing, testing, monitoring and maintaining IT hardware and software
  • Pro-actively identifying opportunities for improvement to IT support processes, tools & services
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience within a leadership role
  • Excellent technical knowledge of PC/desktop hardware/internal components
  • High proficiency in supporting Windows 11 and desktop environments
  • A strong understanding of ITIL based service desk systems
  • Effective interpersonal, customer service and documentation skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology highly regarded
Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be around AU$80,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
