Commercial Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to join our team at Kinexus. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all customer, partner, and subcontractor contracts and relationships within a project, from inception to completion.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial and legal principles, with the ability to develop negotiation strategies and conduct assessments on change proposals. They will also be responsible for managing overall commercial and risk for each assigned project, preparing and executing contract change orders, and guiding and training managers on best contract management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement negotiation strategies to achieve optimal results
  • Conduct thorough assessments of change proposals and advise on commercial and legal implications
  • Manage overall commercial and risk for each assigned project, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Prepare, approve, and execute contract change orders and amendments
  • Guide and train managers on best contract management practices, including contract negotiation and risk management

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in contract negotiation and management
  • Strong understanding of commercial and legal principles, including ASDEFCON and construction law
  • Excellent customer relations and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Security clearance is required for this role
