Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a House Services Support Officer. In this role, you will provide administrative support to House Leaders, Learning Mentors, and House Champions, ensuring the efficient functioning of each House and best outcomes for students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and follow up on student attendance using Compass Attendance reports to identify unexplained absences and contact parents and caregivers to identify absence reasons.
  • Identify truants, contact parents, and advise Learning Mentors and House Leaders.
  • Prepare long-term absence plans and work.
  • Support Learning Mentors in preparing for Student Support Groups (SSGs) by collecting information from teachers and scheduling.
  • Support the decoration and maintenance of Learning Mentor rooms and House areas to develop House Culture.
  • Complete required paperwork and digital communications.
  • Support Friday Morning Activities and follow up on student completion of work when required.
  • Supervise catch-up sessions, homework club, and students out of training.
  • Support House Leaders in identifying 'at-risk' students.
  • Support the organization and planning of events such as camps, assemblies, and guest speakers.
  • Work with student services offices and Junior School Leaders in planning and implementing Morrisby Profiling.
  • Support House Leaders and Learning Mentors by contacting parents when students are not in full uniform.
  • Run Learning Mentor sessions when required.
  • Period 2 attendance check-in and parent contact.
  • Attend House Briefings, alternating between allocated houses on a weekly basis.
  • Liaise with Attendance Officers and Student Services Staff to support students.
  • Raise purchase orders to pay for events or House resources.
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and organizational skills, who is able to work effectively in a team environment. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
