Job Title: Support Services Manager

A leading global company is seeking a Support Services Manager to join their team in Perth, Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the HR/IR, Workforce Development, Aboriginal Engagement, Stakeholder and Communications, and ICT teams.

The role involves providing collaborative strategic leadership to drive engagement and a peak-performance alliance culture while also leading the support services direct reports to successfully deliver support services to the wider project team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with the Alliance Manager and Alliance Coach to promote high-performance leadership behaviours with the AMT and senior leadership team.
  • Caching and mentoring Support Services Leads to provide role clarity and clear direction for their functional teams.
  • Being responsible for the creation and updates of all Support Services Management plans.
  • Helping plan AMT leadership strategy workshops with the Alliance Coach and tracking outcomes of each workshop.
  • Embedding the Alliance vision, values, charter, and behaviours, ensuring all senior leaders and Support Services team are delivering to this vision.
  • Overseeing the successful onboarding and offboarding of all project team members, addressing any bottle necks within the support services process.
  • Managing escalated IR issues in partnership with the Alliance Manager and Construction Manager.
  • Proactively engaging with the community representing the project and construction impacts as a senior leader, ensuring positive and proactive relationships with local communities are established.
  • Supporting corporate initiatives to improve ICT project outcomes, in support of continuously developing and advancing systems capability.
  • Managing the Workforce Development Advisor deliverables, ensuring opportunities are created and filled for Apprentices and Trainees throughout the project duration.
  • Managing the Aboriginal Employee participation for subcontractors and direct hires for the project, ensuring participation targets are reached.
