Job Description

As a seasoned Health and Safety professional, you will be responsible for driving safety strategies and initiatives that cultivate and sustain a culture of continuous improvement in safety. You will lead the safety culture on-site to ensure the safety of all personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive safety strategies and initiatives to improve project safety performance.
  • Lead the development and implementation of site-specific safety policies and procedures.
  • Motivate personnel to own health and safety at all levels of the project.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure safety goals are met.
  • Manage projects and budgets to deadlines.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in senior health and safety roles, with relevant tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Experience in managing both health and safety and environmental risks is highly valued.
  • Ability to lead strategy and influence change with top-level management.
  • Minimum Diploma in OHS and/or Cert IV WH&S.
  • Sound knowledge of QLD OHS legislation and mine regulations.
