At RouterStack, we are seeking a skilled Data Center Operations Specialist to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced technician to provide critical support for data center operations on behalf of our clients.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in data center equipment management and hands-on technical support. We offer competitive compensation on an hourly basis, ranging from $40-$60 per hour, as well as opportunities for training and professional growth.

About the Role:

  • We require a self-employed contractor with an ABN number to be eligible for this work.
  • You will need to be available to receive intermittent contract tasks and invoice for your work.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Safely and securely storing and staging IT hardware and equipment.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely delivery of hardware to client sites.
  • Performing hardware replacements and upgrades in data center environments.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing faulty equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and best practices in data center operations.
  • Keeping detailed records of equipment movements, issues, and resolutions.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient and effective support.

Requirements for the Role:

  • Proven experience as a Data Center Technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of data center equipment, IT hardware, and associated technologies.
  • Ability to work on an on-call basis and respond to urgent requests.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with data center safety procedures and protocols.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing work schedules.
  • Physical fitness to handle equipment and perform tasks within data center environments.
