Open Spaces Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Space Maintainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Council's public spaces, ensuring they are kept in optimal condition.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and enhance public spaces, including operation of hand-held and ride-on self-propelled plant equipment.
- Demonstrate a practical mindset with a strong focus on safety and high standards in public environments.
- Support maintenance and security of equipment, tools and infrastructure.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and contribute to the review of completed works.
- Certificate II or III in: Horticulture, Parks Management, Landscape, Conservation Land Management, Arboriculture or Turf Maintenance.
- Proven experience in public space maintenance, including front deck mowers and related equipment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork and public interaction.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Solid understanding of Health and Safety, statutory requirements and quality systems.
- Willingness to contribute to business and quality system improvements.
- Basic competency in using computers and mobile devices.
