About the Role

We are seeking a Horticulture Professional to join our team in Shellharbour City. As an entry-level opportunity, you will have the chance to develop your skills and knowledge in horticulture while working with our experienced team.

Your primary responsibility will be to support the Open Spaces team in maintaining parks and reserves across the city. This will include tasks such as gardening, pruning, and plant maintenance.

In addition to hands-on experience, you will also complete a Certificate III in Horticulture course at YallahTAFE. This will equip you with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to excel in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • SUPPORT THE OPEN SPACES TEAM IN MAINTAINING PARKS AND RESERVES ACROSS THE CITY
  • COMPLETE A CERTIFICATE III IN HORTICULTURE COURSE AT YALLAH TAFE
  • DEVELOP YOUR SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE IN HORTICULTURE
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PASSION FOR WORKING OUTDOORS AND GARDENING
  • THE ABILITY TO WORK SAFELY AND EFFECTIVELY IN A TEAM ENVIRONMENT
  • GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS
  • A RECENTLY COMPLETED CERTIFICATE III IN HORTICULTURE OR EQUIVALENT QUALIFICATION
