About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe work environment across Far North Queensland. We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environment Advisor to provide expert guidance on WHS and environmental issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Provide WHS&E guidance to operational staff regarding safety management processes and policies.
  • Develop and deliver informational sessions for staff on relevant WHS&E practices and policies.
  • Assist with the investigation and reporting of WHS&E incidents, including contractor notifiable incidents.
  • Support worker rehabilitation and return-to-work programs under guidance.
  • Coordinate emergency planning and response activities.
  • Assist in the development, review, and implementation of SWMSs, risk assessments, and WHS management plans.
About You
  • Certificate IV in WHS with experience in the construction, maintenance, or similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, Codes of Practice, and Australian/International Standards.
  • Ability to identify industry-specific hazards, risks, and control measures.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply WHS legislation and provide clear guidance to stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, with the capacity to liaise effectively through structured written and oral communication.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
