Job Title: Disability Support Worker

We are seeking a reliable and passionate Support Worker to join our team at McArthur Pty Ltd in Caboolture.

Job Summary:

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for assisting individuals with physical disabilities with their daily living needs, including personal care, household tasks, and skill development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with personal care, including showering, dressing, and grooming
  • Perform household tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
  • Support skill development, including shopping, cooking, and catching public transport
  • Transport individuals to appointments and/or shopping
  • Engage in social and community participation, including meeting people and participating in community activities
Requirements:
  • Relevant industry experience working with clients who have a physical disability
  • Certificate III in Individual Support; Disability Cert IV or equivalent
  • Current Working with Children blue card and NDIS workers screening check or willingness to obtain
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
  • Current Manual Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Medication Certificates/experience will be looked at favourably
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Covid vaccination
  • Flu vaccination
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Training/credentials in Bowel care/PEG feeding and medication administration
